Tigers in action this weekend (4/19/14)

This past weekend all four Tiger squads were out on the water racing. 

 

The Heavyweight Men traveled to Philadelphia for the 104th contest of the Childs cup where a victory over both Penn and Columbia secured the cup for another year.  Complete results and a photo gallery can be found on row2k.com.  A full recap of the racing can be found on goprincetontigers.com.

 

The Lightweight Men raced on the Carnegie against Cornell.  It was great racing here at home, with the lightweight 2V capturing the Tigers lone victory of the dual.  Complete results and a photo gallery can be found on row2k.com.  There is also a nice recap of the racing that can be found on goprincetontigers.com.

 

The Open Women traveled to Boston to race Harvard and Cornell in the Class of 1975 Cup.  The Tigers were able to regain the cup with a win in the Varsity over Cornell and Harvard. The Tigers also were able to win their races in the 2nd Varsity 8 and the 3rd Varsity 8. The Lightweight Women headed across rt. 1 to race in the Knecht Cup where the Varsity 8 was able to win their final over BU with Bucknell finishing in 3rd.  More results can be found HERE.  Goprincetontigers.com has posted a recap of the racing HERE as well.

 

This coming weekend, all four squads will again be in action with the Open Women, Lightweight Men, and Lightweight Women staying home to race on the Carnegie.  The Heavyweight men will travel up to Boston to race Harvard and MIT.  Racing on the Carnegie will start at 9:00am with the Open Women’s B and C 4+’s and run on twenty-minute centers throughout the day.
