All,

Time for the best weekend of the year!  The Heavies are heading up to Worcester, MA this weekend for the Eastern Sprints!  The racing will take place on Sunday with heats in the morning and finals about five hours later in the afternoon.  This year, the Heavies will head into the Sprints with the 1V ranked 4th, the 2V and 3V ranked 1st, and the 4V ranked 2nd.  Here's the basics on the schedule of racing for our Princeton boats:

Heavies Finish Regular Season With Strong Wins Over Brown

All,

The Heavies finished off the regular season on Saturday, May 4 winning three of the four races over Brown at the Content Cup.  In some tight racing on all levels, the Tigers won the 2V, 3V and 4V, while Brown won the 1V.  The 1V, 2V and 3V races were all within a length, while the 4V posted an open water victory.  There is a great re-cap of the racing along with the full results now posted up on GoPrincetonTigers.com and you can find it at:

Heavies Win Carnegie Cup!

All,

The Heavies had a solid day of racing at the Carnegie Cup vs. Cornell and Yale up at Derby this past Saturday, winning the 1V, 2V and 3V races, while Cornell won the 4V race.  The win in the 1V race returned the Carnegie Cup to Princeton, and it was the first time in 7 years that a visiting team had won the Carnegie Cup.  All of the Tiger boats raced hard and it was great to see the team come away with some solid wins on the road.  There is a great recap of the racing on GoPrincetonTigers.com and you can find it here:

Heavies Retain Childs Cup

All,

The Heavies had a solid weekend of racing at the 103rd running of the Childs Cup vs. Penn and Columbia this past Saturday, winning the 1V, 2V, 3V and 4V events.  The win in the varsity race kept the Childs Cup in the Princeton boathouse for another year and extended Princeton's overall lead for total wins to 46.  Penn has won the race 44 times and Columbia 12 times.  There are some great write-ups on the racing as well as links to the results and a photo gallery now linked up on the front page of our website at:

Heavies Are Back on the Water!

All,

The weather over the last two weeks here in NJ has been warm enough to break up the ice on Carnegie and the lake is now fully open for training.  The guys have continued to train hard both indoors and out in preparation for the start of the spring season three weeks from now.  It's been a busy couple of weeks for us as a squad and as a boathouse and I wanted to share a few of the highlights.
