Strong Racing for the Tigers in Boston, $19,000 Raised in Pull for a Cure!
All of the Tiger squads had a solid weekend of racing up at the Head of the Charles this past weekend. The top result of the weekend came from the Heavy Men's Club 8+, who finished 2nd in their race, less than 1 second behind the event winners from Brown. On Sunday, it was the Light Men that had the strongest showing, finishing 3rd overall in the Light 8+ and 2nd amongst the colleges. The Open Women finished 4th in the Champ 8+ and the Heavy Men finished 11th overall and 9th amongst the colleges in a tightly packed Champ 8+. The Light Women finished 4th in the Light 4+.
In addition to the Princeton crews that raced, there were also 7 Fat Cat alumnil boats that raced on Saturday in the Masters, Alumni and Club events. The highlight of the day came from the 1985 era men racing in the Senior Masters (50+) 8+. They finished 5th overall. In total, 6 of the 7 Fat Cat boats finished within the top half of their event, guaranteeing an entry in the event for next year. Congrats Fat Cats!

For the second year in a row, the Princeton BH took part in Pull for a Cure, an effort amongst several colleges to raise money on behalf of breast cancer awareness. Thanks in part to many of you, the event was a HUGE success! All told, the BH raised over $19,000 towards the cause! In recognition of the effort, all of the Tiger crews raced in pink tops up in Boston and they will do so again this coming weekend at the Princeton Chase. There was a great article in the Daily Prince earlier this week highlighting the effort and you can find it HERE.
The boathouse is now back at work here in Princeton preparing for the Princeton Chase on Sunday, October 30.
