IRA Wrap Up

The Heavy Men, Light Men and Light Women all closed out their seasons with racing at the IRA National Championship regatta over the weekend of May 31-June 2.  On the Heavy Men's side, the Tigers started off the racing with some solid results in the heats on Thursday.  Both the 1V and the 2V moved directly through to the semis from their heats, while the 1F moved onto the semi through the afternoon reps.  In Friday's semi's the Tigers came up short in their bid to move onto the finals.  All three boats Just missed on slots for the A finals and went on to race in Saturday's B finals.  On Saturday, the crews rallied well, and both the 1V and 1F won their respective B finals.  The 2V was in a very tight battle in their race and finished a close 3rd.  

On the Light Men's side, the Tigers had a strong piece in the morning qualifier, but missed out on the medals in the afternoon final, where they finished 6th.  The Light Women finished 5th overall in their grand final.
