Stuyve Pell '53 Intersquad Small Boats Race Results

Over the week of November 15, we ran the 4th annual Stuyve Pell '53 small boats race.  As with year's past, the course is two miles and is set up as a "stake race" and the racing is done head-style.  The course starts and finishes at the Stone Bridge, with a turn around a buoy one mile out from the bridge.  There are events for men and women in the 1x, 2x and 2-.  Both the lights and the heavies race together in the same event.

We had some great racing in this year's Pell Cup.  Perhaps the most exciting event was the men's 1x, where over 13 boats raced in the final.  The top four boats finished within 4 seconds of eachother.  Cam Smith '14 won in a time of 12:07.2.  Brian Wettach '13 was 2nd in 12:09.3, Robin Prendes '11 was 3rd in 12:10.0 and Ian Silveira '12 was 4th in 12:11.5.  Four crews raced in the men's 2x final, with Robin Prendes '11 and Tyler Nase '13 winning in a time of 11:06.3.  Ian Silveira '12 and Steve Cutler '12 were 2nd at 11:08.4.  Six crews raced in the men's 2- final.  Tim Masters '14 and Brian Wettach '13 won in a time of 11:07.8.  Mike Evans '13 and Blake Parsons '11 finished 2nd in 11:19.8.

In the women's racing, Lauren Wilkinson '11 proved unstoppable.  She won the women's 1x, and she paired up with Ashton Brown '11 to win both the women's 2x and the women's 2-.

Congrats to the winners!
