Sprints Results!
This past weekend, all four programs raced in their respective regional championships. For the Heavy Men, Light Men and Light Women, this remained the Eastern Sprints Championships. For the Open Women, they raced at the inaugural Ivy League Championships.
The Open Women made a mark on the Ivy Championship with their strong overall performance. All of the Princeton crews were on the awards dock at the end of the day. They finished 1st in the 2V8 and 3V8, 2nd in the V4 and 3rd in the 1V8. Full results can be found HERE. The GoPrincetonTigers.com race recap can be found HERE.
The Light Women finished 5th in the V8 and 2nd in the Novice 8 at the Women's Eastern Sprints. The full results can be found HERE. The GoPrincetonTigers.com race recap can be found HERE.
At the Men's Sprints, both squads had a solid showing. On the Light Men's side the Tiger 1V rebounded from some regular season losses to finish 3rd in the final. The 1F finished 2nd and the 2V finished 5th. On the Heavy Men's side, the Tiger 1V came up just short of the medals dock finishing 4th. The 2V finished 3rd and the 1F finished 5th. The Tigers were only one of four teams to place all heavyweight crews into the grand finals this year. Full results from the Men's Eastern Sprints can be found HERE. All four squads will now move onto their respective national championship events. The Open Women will race at the NCAA Championships on May 25-27. The racing will take place at Lake Mercer in Princeton, NJ. The Light Men, Heavy Men and Light Women will all race at the IRA Championships on May 31-June 2. The racing will take place on the Cooper River in Cherry Hill, NJ.
